About the Role
We’re looking for a driven and commercially-minded Account Director to join our London team. In this role, you’ll take the lead on the day-to-day management of WPP agencies across the UK and International hubs based out of London, while playing a key part in shaping and executing long-term commercial strategies.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on building relationships, driving revenue growth, and developing impactful commercial initiatives. You’ll also have direct line management responsibility for two reports (Senior Sales Manager and Sales Manager), supporting their growth and working collaboratively to develop strategies that increase business consideration.
Your Challenge
-Oversee the day-to-day management of WPP agencies across the UK and International hubs, based out of London.
-Contribute to the development and execution of long-term commercial strategies.
-Manage two direct reports: Senior Sales Manager and Sales Manager. Support their development and collaborate on engagement strategies to drive business growth.
-Track business forecasts and evaluate market opportunities.
-Identify, prioritise, and secure new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
-Develop and nurture partnerships with media agencies (and brands direct where appropriate).
-Engage with stakeholders at all levels, from day-to-day contacts to senior decision-makers.
-Collaborate with internal teams to structure and deliver impactful operational and strategic initiatives.
-Create persuasive sales presentations based on client insights, industry trends, and performance results.
-Implement best practices for client interaction, sales processes, and campaign delivery.
-Track and optimise activity throughout the sales cycle using Salesforce and other tools to identify key growth drivers.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
-Experience working with WPP agencies and a strong understanding of their operating models.
-Proven track record of securing new business, growing key accounts, and surpassing revenue goals.
-Strong consultative selling and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
-A strategic mindset, capable of navigating dynamic environments and adapting to change.
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
-Previous line management experience would be a plus.
-Native-level English proficiency and a collaborative mindset that thrives in team settings.
